On this sail you have the opportunity to take part in the great Falmouth Classics Regatta in the best possible way. You will sail as part of the crew on Grayhound and not only get the excitement of the race, joy of the parade of sails but also be able to see all the beautiful classic ships up close at sea. As crew you will be fully immersed in the handling and navigation of Grayhound. You need no prior sailing experience but be in good health. The professional crew will guide and teach you all the way.

We will embark from the historic coastal town of Penzance just west of Falmouth. On our day sail to Falmouth we will trim the crew together while enjoying beauty of the Cornish coast. It will be an epic sail into the Falmouth harbour as we tack between all the other traditional ships and classic yacht and drop anchor. We might fire a cannon or two to make sure no one misses our entrance. Then follows some exciting days of Regatta racing and Parade of Sails. After long days of sailing and parading we can enjoy the Sea Shanty Festival with music on street corners, pubs and venues all over town. With more than 60 musical groups music from all over the world the nights might be long…A rum or two might just go down the ‘hatch’! Please visit Falmouth Sea Shanty for the weekends’ full itinerary.
